Corporate Transparency Act
Greg McAllister and Matthew Tenney from the Office of Small Business Assistance will be presenting information and resources about the upcoming Corporate Transparency Act.
The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) is a federal requirement recently passed by the United States Congress to combat money laundering and terrorist financing and is scheduled to take effect January 1, 2024. The CTA establishes a beneficial ownership reporting requirement for corporations, limited liability companies, and other similar entities created or registered to do business in the United States. Reports must be filed with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a bureau within the U.S. Department of Treasury.
